WHY I DO IT?
For me creating has always been about becoming completely absorbed in the process - focus, stillness and letting the work unfold.
I’ve always felt that creativity is something we’re given rather than something we own. As an artist I feel this a responsibility to use that gift - to take the ideas, energy and inspiration that come to me and give them a physical form.
Whether I’m drawing a fish in detail, painting a place or creating something entirely new, the best work happens when I stop forcing the outcome and the allow myself to follow where the work wants to go.
That is art in flow.
